The Association of Mining, Metallurgical, Auxiliary and Service Companies<\/strong> (Aminer<\/em>) has welcomed Torsa<\/strong>, a technology company based in M\u00e1laga, as a full member. This brings the total number of companies represented by the Andalusian mining association to 23<\/strong>, all of which “help to shape a transnational and multidisciplinary map of the mining and metallurgical sector, strengthening the regional, national, and international image of the Andalusian mining industry.”<\/p>\n

Aminer announced the news in a statement on Wednesday, noting that Torsa is made up of professionals with over 15 years of experience<\/strong> in the technology sector, with a primary focus on the design and production of technological systems and equipment<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

One of the key areas of development for the company is mining<\/strong>, for which it offers a wide range of solutions aimed at addressing technical needs across the entire industry.<\/p>\n

Among its solutions is the Torsa Cloud platform<\/strong>, which centralizes operational data\u2014covering areas such as safety, operations, training, maintenance, and occupational health\u2014into a single cloud-based system. This provides valuable information to all areas of a mining operation, effectively bridging the gap between field personnel and management.<\/p>\n

Torsa has also developed an Anti-Collision System for Mining<\/strong>, which issues alerts to machinery operators regarding the type, position, and distance of nearby vehicles, machines, or obstacles, with centimetre-level accuracy<\/strong>, in order to prevent accidents and collisions.<\/p>\n

In addition, the M\u00e1laga-based technology company offers a Vibration Monitor<\/strong>, which enables the real-time measurement and evaluation of the vibrations that vehicle operators are exposed to, with the goal of improving workplace safety.<\/p>\n

Another of its products for the mining sector is the Programmable Restart System<\/strong>, created to meet the need for remotely restarting various onboard systems in mining vehicles, avoiding the need for manual intervention on-site.<\/p>\n

Torsa\u2019s notable experience in mining includes more than four years of collaboration with the Antamina Mining Company in Peru<\/strong>, where its systems have accumulated over 140,000 hours of uninterrupted operation<\/strong> across the fleet.<\/p>\n

With Torsa\u2019s addition, Aminer now comprises 23 members<\/strong> representing the majority of the entities linked to metallic mining in Andalusia. These include:
Cobre Las Cruces<\/strong>, Minas de Aguas Te\u00f1idas<\/strong>, Atalaya Riotinto<\/strong>, Minera Los Frailes<\/strong>, Minas de Alquife<\/strong>, Tharsis Mining & Metallurgy<\/strong>, Insersa<\/strong>, Ayesa<\/strong>, Maxam<\/strong>, Exploraciones Mineras del And\u00e9valo<\/strong>, the Official College of Mining Engineers of Southern Spain<\/strong>, AGQ Mining<\/strong>, Minesur<\/strong>, San Mart\u00edn Contratistas<\/strong>, Sandvik<\/strong>, Subterra Ingenier\u00eda<\/strong>, Codisevand<\/strong>, ERM<\/strong>, Idom<\/strong>, Iturri<\/strong>, Urva Fluidos Industriales<\/strong>, and Ayma Mining<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
